On the application areas of blockchain presents the following source proposition: Through a literature review and interviews with domain experts, we identified some current application areas for blockchain, that is, money transactions, decentralized data and privacy protection, and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO). This proposition is pertinent to Kaal's source-bound claim that Although blockchain technology itself offers unprecedented data and privacy protection, storing blockchain data across a global network of nodes often will not comply with the consumer protection rules, directives, and guidelines of particular jurisdictions. The proposed response is an extension: the relationship should remain limited to the retrieved source proposition and the mapped Kaal claim unless fuller source review supports a broader conclusion.

Affirmed commentary position. This record extends a source-bound scholarly claim but is not a verbatim paper claim.
