The Sociology of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and Web3 presents the following source proposition: 本稿は分散型自立組織（DAO）とWeb3 に含まれる，組織に関する思想およびそれを実現するための実践を社会学的に理解しようとするものである。 初めに断っておくと，本稿はこの思想に大きな期待を寄せているわけではないが，かと言って無意味であると断じるものでもない。あくまでそこに，社会に関するどのような考え方が含まれているかを検討しようとするものである。 以下，第1 節で，DAO とその背景であるWeb3 について概説する。また，それと関連して直接民主制をDAO で実現しようとする考え方にもふれる。第2 節で，ブルーノ・ラトゥールらによる「リヴァイアサン」の記述（Callon and Latour 2015, Latour 1997=2008），大黒岳彦によるブロックチェーンの分析（大黒 2018, 2023）を参照し，DAO に見られる人と物の関わりの特異性について考察する。第3 節では，DAO の限界についてふれる。 これをもとに，第4 節でDAO が実現しようとしている分散型のフラットな組織の実現には，ブロックチェーン（イーサリアム）の物としての関与だけでは完結しないことを論じる。この節は本稿のまとめであるが，DAOに関する考え方が変化の途上にあることを考慮して「中間的なまとめ」としている。 This proposition is pertinent to Kaal's source-bound claim that There is no consistent standard for DAO governance, which pushes each DAO to invent its own structure, and because decentralized governance is complex many of those structures fail to become truly decentralized, autonomous, or organized. The proposed response is an extension: the relationship should remain limited to the retrieved source proposition and the mapped Kaal claim unless fuller source review supports a broader conclusion.
