Player and Griffiths independently operationalize a bounded version of Kaal’s decay mechanism. In their multi-agent trust models, sliding windows delete older interaction records that no longer represent current behavior, while forgetting factors continuously down-weight older interactions; their adaptive RaPTaR method then uses current-behavior estimates to improve future partner selection. This supports treating reputation evidence as perishable rather than permanent. It does not establish Kaal’s stronger claim that the value of the future never reaches zero for every incumbent, nor does it validate his standing-token, staking, or rights architecture.
