Silva, Aparício, and Silva provide independent evidence for the narrower credit-propagation mechanism in Kaal's claim. Their author-ranking study distinguishes paper-level networks, which diffuse scientific credit to cited papers and then derive author credit from those papers, from author-level networks, which diffuse credit directly to cited authors. PageRank further weights a citation from an important author more heavily and updates an author's score from incoming citation links. This qualifies Kaal's proposition that standing can propagate through a graph rather than accrue only at the original contribution. The study concerns human scholarly impact, treats citations as credit-bearing edges without Kaal's institutional-validation condition, and does not establish autonomous agents, domain-specific REP, or the broader governance substrate.
