Their systematic survey treats agent registries as a first coordination layer through which agents announce capabilities and discover counterparties without a centralized directory. Separately, the authors classify reputation accumulated from past behavior as a longer-horizon coordination substrate because non-transferability prevents purchase and ties standing to actual agent history rather than financial position. This extends Kaal's substrate definition. Persistent reputation is not merely descriptive metadata. In the surveyed architecture, it informs counterparty discovery, task-market verification, and decentralized quality filtering. Yet the source separates identity, registries, task markets, settlement, and reputation. That distinction matters. It supports a coordination architecture organized around persistent, non-transferable reputation, but it does not establish that reputation alone constitutes the entire substrate. The article synthesizes 177 peer-reviewed publications and 14 system-documentation sources. Its coordination ratings are qualitative assessments, not universal empirical findings. The survey does not test Kaal's controlled cohort, evaluate his reference implementation, or establish performance, security, and resistance to identity replacement. Its contribution is architectural. It independently connects autonomous-agent coordination to persistent identity, accumulated history, and non-transferable reputation.
