Majority pressure is an information channel, not a substitute for independent judgment. Wu, Li, and Li begin their controlled LLM debate with independent proposals. They then find that agents facing an incorrect majority are less able to correct the group, particularly when the agents are weaker. This result qualifies Kaal's information-isolating validation claim. It independently supports preserving an initial judgment before a participant sees a running tally or peer argument.
