Oracles reveal an external-data boundary in smart contracts. Veritas examines a decentralized Ethereum oracle architecture for information that does not exist on chain. Simulation and experimental analysis reports lower operational costs. It also reports limited malicious data entry and preserved security. The architecture therefore extends Kaal's claim that a decentralized economy requires a trustworthy decentralized information layer, but the evidence remains limited to one Ethereum design. The result is consistent with a narrow mechanism, not a general rule. It does not establish a universal requirement for every news service. Nor does it prove that the node-selection process remains robust in production.
